Hello guys! Welcome to my blog. We talking about the ancestors of Super Mario Maker.

Super Mario Maker was a game for Wii U and 3DS. It later have a sequel on Switch. The game was pretty simple. Design your own Mario level. Before Super Mario Maker,a lot of homebrews and ROM hacks of Super Mario spreading on the internet. Sometimes, the hacks are on cartridges and now, in file types.

So Nintendo created the Super Mario Maker.

We going down to the memory lane to it's ancestors and spiritual ancestors.

For SNES bundled with a SNES mouse.

Mario Paint is a combination of art,music and animation programs in one. It always bundled with a mouse. I imagine what if you can play Mario Paint on a SNES controller.... Well this is the primitive spiritual ancestor of Super Mario Maker.

For 64DD with WarioWare prototype

Well this is the sequel added a polygon studio,a communication panel and many more. The most important of Mario Artist is the Sound Bomber which is now the WarioWare series!

For Nintendo DS and Wii for creative people who loves making games.

WarioWare D.I.Y was a spiritual successor to the two. The gameplay,well create your own record,game or comic with your imagination. Before your create a game,a record or a comic, you must complete the tutorials. If you complete all of these(3 lessons for game making,1 lesson for record making and comic making) you will learn on Assembly Dojo the tricks for creating games. In the WFC days(2010-2014),you can join competitions but you can join with the homebrew WFC today(2015-present). I'm recommending this game for beginner game developers.

Easter egg: If you import 9-Volt's Mario Paint game or create a game or a comic title Mario Paint,you heard the Mario Paint music.

From DS to 3DS

It's time to revive the original arcade game with a twist! After Donkey Kong '94 , Mario vs. Donkey Kong reviving the original arcade game with a new story. From Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, It added a level editor. Based by The Cutting Room Floor, a level editor was planned to Mario vs. Donkey Kong. It later scrapped.
